Premier Doug Ford spent today’s briefing at Queens Park talking about research and vaccines.
He admits he wants the vaccine for COVID-19 to be discovered here in Ontario and said today they are funding a lot of studies.
“There’s no reason why a new rapid testing method, vaccine or treatment can’t be found right here in Ontario. Our government is investing in some very promising research proposals, which have the potential to save lives”.
There are 22 on going trials, the most in the country.
A month ago he started the Rapid Research Fund to put millions into the studies spread out among universities and pharmaceutical companies.
He also reiterated how testing will increase and he is bound bent to hit the 16,000 a day mark.
