An investigation remains ongoing following a boating collision near Walpole Island First Nation that sent four people to hospital.
The Ontario Provincial Police said emergency crews responded at around 2:25 p.m. on Saturday after two boats collided on Johnston River near Johnston Bay.
Four people were assisted to shore by nearby boaters and then taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The OPP is commending the actions of the members of the public who responded quickly to help those involved.
An investigation into the cause of the collision is continuing and anyone with information is asked to contact Lambton County OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
