Four Injured In Boating Collision

An investigation remains ongoing following a boating collision near Walpole Island First Nation that sent four people to hospital.

The Ontario Provincial Police said emergency crews responded at around 2:25 p.m. on Saturday after two boats collided on Johnston River near Johnston Bay.

Four people were assisted to shore by nearby boaters and then taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The OPP is commending the actions of the members of the public who responded quickly to help those involved.
