A Wallaceburg man is facing charges in connection to a fraud investigation.
Chatham-Kent Police received a report earlier this month that a purse had been stolen out of a car and the victim’s credit cards used at several area businesses.
Authorities were able to obtain security footage and identified the suspect from previous incidents.
Shortly after 10:30 Monday night, police located the accused and brought him into custody.
The 43-year-old is charged with possession of stolen property, two counts of failing to comply with a probation order, five counts of fraud, and five counts of unauthorized use of a credit card. He was taken to police headquarters and held for a bail hearing.
