Plans are moving forward to build a new power plant at the Wallaceburg site of the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance.

At Fridays meeting Jerome Quennville, the Vice-President of Finance gave an update and says there are still a lot of hurdles to clear before they can tender the project.

“We had a meeting at the municipality yesterday looking at the flow of traffic, and tying in the services and all of that and certainly it still needs to have municipal support on some of that detail, as well as the province wants to make sure we are staying on plan with what was approved so they will have a final look at it before we go out for tenders”.

But, he says they hope to tender the project by the end of the calendar year.
