The Municipality of Chatham-Kent is now accepting applications from local groups seeking funding for community events to be held in 2021.
Applications can be submitted for the Together CK: Events Grant Program, which in past years was called the Community Partnership Fund: Festival & Events.
Council allocates funds each year through a competitive process. Municipal officials say this process continues the local commitment to encourage community development through partnerships with local groups
Groups are invited to apply for funding of up to 50% of an event’s cost to a maximum of $5,000. Significant events (those with attendance in excess of 25,000) can quality for up to 50% of expenses for the first $10,000 of the budget and 25% percentage of the balance of the budget, to a maximum of $25,000.
The deadline for applications for this round of funding is Thursday, November 5 at 4:30 p.m. Grant guidelines are available online at www.chatham-kent.ca under the Residents heading. (Choose the “Community Funding” link, then click on “Together CK: Events”.)

All applications will be reviewed by a committee composed of citizens and representatives from various municipal departments.
