Funding Up For Grabs For Events, Projects In CK

Chatham-Kent is offering up funding to support local community events and projects planned for next year.

The municipality is now accepting applications for its TogetherCK grant program, which invites local groups to apply for up to 50 per cent of a project’s costs up to a maximum of $10,000, and up to 50 per cent of a community event’s cost to a maximum of $5,000. Those applying to hold a significant event with an attendance of over 25,000 can apply for a maximum of $25,000 based on the event budget.

Funding is allocated to the program each year by Chatham-Kent Council through a competitive process. All applications will be reviewed by a committee comprised of citizens and representatives from various municipal departments.

The deadline to submit an application is November 1 at 4:30 p.m. For more information, including grant guidelines, click here.

The Together CK program was first established by council in 2000 as the Community Partnership Fund.
