Local organizers are hoping to set a world record in Chatham-Kent while fundraising for a meaningful cause.
A celebration entitled “History Will Be Made” will be held on April 11, as 314 guests gather at the Chatham Armouries to attempt to break the record for the world’s largest dining table.
A central theme of the event will be to highlight the “grow your own” and “self-sustainable” opportunities that exist for individuals and families across Chatham-Kent.
Doors to the Armouries will open at 3 p.m. to provide guests time to connect and converse about sustainable farming practices, micro‑farming innovations, local food production, and community‑driven agricultural ideas. A pasta buffet provided by Club Lentina’s Catering will then be provided at 5 p.m., followed by live and silent auctions beginning at 7 p.m.
All proceeds from the auctions will go directly to Noelle’s Gift to Children, helping ensure local children have access to essential items, such as nutrition, clothing, educational supplies, and emergency support.
Tickets for the fundraiser are $50 for adults and $20 for children 12 and under. To purchase, click here.
