A one-day fundraiser has given a big boost to a local summer camp.
Camp U-Turn runs each summer at First Baptist Church in Wallaceburg, and while in years’ past it’s been supported through government funding, this year’s grant request was turned down.
A day-long running event at WDSS yesterday brought in a whopping $15,000.
Organizers say they are still hoping to raise another $10,000.
