Another Ridgetown-based fundraiser is giving back to the community – this time celebrating local health care providers in nursing homes.
Jennifer Parney is an Independent Consultant and Business Owner with Thirty-One Gifts.
Parney is currently selling Thirty-One’s popular “clip pouch” – with the product going directly to health care providers at The Village on the Ridge in Ridgetown and The Blenheim Community Village, as well as Chatham’s Eden Villa.
Local residents, community organizations and businesses can “sponsor” a pouch or make donations towards the cause.
“Our home care providers are going into work every day and it’s a trying time for everybody,” says Parney. “I just thought it would be nice to do a little pick me up.”
Parney is even donating her sales commission to purchase items to include in the pouches including hand sanitizer, lotion, lip balm, snacks, gum and smaller Thirty-one items like key fobs
and nail files.
Just over 60 pouches have been sponsored at this point.
Parney says she would love to be able to donate one of these clip pouches to each staff member. There are approximately 90 staff members at each of Village on The Ridge and The Blenheim Community Village.
“I had no idea I was going to get the response I have,” adds Parney. “It’s very exciting to be able to give back to the community in a small way.”
