Funeral plans have been announced following the sudden passing of a retired Chatham-Kent Police officer.

62-year-old Constable Mike Currie passed away unexpectedly on October 13th while travelling abroad.

Currie retired from the force in 2016 but continued to advocate for causes close to his heart, particularly Special Olympics Ontario and the Law Enforcement Torch Run.

Visitation will be held at Alexander & Houle Funeral Home Sunday from 7-9pm and Monday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm.

A funeral service will take place Tuesday, October 25th at St Paul’s Congregational Church in Chatham at 1pm.
