Funny Money, Serious Charges

Charges have been laid against a Chatham man, accused of passing off fake currency.

The investigation began on February 20th when the suspect allegedly used a pair of phoney American $20 bills to pay for separate purchases at Petro Canada on Park Avenue East.

The accused was identified with the help of surveillance video, and arrested yesterday morning.

The 36-year-old will be in court to face the charges later this month.
