Chatham-Kent’s local animal shelter is looking for cat enthusiasts interested in supporting the ongoing rescue and care of animals in need.
Pet and Wildlife Rescue (PAW Rescue) is holding “Purrs, Paws, & Popcorn: A PAWR Cat Comedy Event” at the Chatham Cultural Centre on Saturday from noon until 4 p.m.
The event will showcase three 30-minute screenings of hilarious cat videos, which will be followed by a 20-minute cuddle session with PAW Rescue’s adoptable shelter cats.
“This event combines everything we love—cats, community, and a good laugh,” says PAW Rescue Executive Director Myriam Armstrong said in a news release. “Whether you’re five or 95, you’ll leave smiling—and maybe even with a new furry friend in mind.”
Popcorn and drinks will also be available for purchase.
