Damage is pegged at around $250,000 following a garage fire in Erieau.
Chatham-Kent Fire and Rescue responded to the blaze at 112 Maxwell Street shortly after midnight on Friday to find the garage fully engulfed in flames upon arrival.
Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the fire and prevent it from spreading to the home. However, a neighbouring home sustained some exterior damage.
The homeowners were able to leave the home safely when the fire started and no one was injured. Chatham-Kent police officers and Victim Services also attended the scene to provide assistance to the residents.
The cause of the fire remains undetermined at this time.
