No one was hurt after a house fire in Merlin over the weekend.
Crews were called to a Talbot Trail residence shortly after midnight on Sunday.
The fire started in a detached garage before the flames spread to the house.
Chatham-Kent Police say there were no people inside the building at the time, but officers were able to rescue a dog.
Damage is pegged at $175,000.
While it’s not clear what sparked the flames, authorities say the fire is not believed to have been intentionally set.
