A local MP’s dream of becoming the next leader of the Conservative Party of Canada is alive.
Sarnia-Lambton member Marilyn Gladu announced her candidacy several weeks ago and was able to pass the first test.
She put up $25,000 dollars and 1,000 signatures of support from party members.
Now it gets real.
She needs to post $125,000 dollars and another 1,000 signatures by February 27th, and on March 25th, $150,000 and another 1,000 signatures.
That’s a total of $300,000.
Leslyn Lewis, Erin O’toole and Peter McKay are also running to replace Andrew Scheer.
The vote is set for June 27th.
