With the harvest season around the corner, the Chatham-Kent Gleaning Project is getting ready. harvestpic

The project aims to collect leftover produce from local farms after they’ve been commercially harvested.

The Chatham-Kent Food Policy Council says almost 8% of Chatham-Kent residents are in need of food, and the Gleaning Project is one way of closing that gap.

This is the second full year for the program, and organizers are hoping to recruit more producers.
