Proceeds from a recent golf tournament is helping get more local kids involved in minor hockey.
Gooday Let’s Play is a non-profit organization that supports funding for registration fees for hockey and provides new and used equipment for clubs in several local communities, including Dresden, Bothwell, Ridgetown, and Blenheim.
The group’s annual golf tournament held on August 25th brought in $32,125. Organizers say the funds will allow hundreds of children be introduced to the game of hockey this season.
Gooday Let’s Play was founded by Ron Horvat in memory of his father, John and the three things he loved most: family, children, and the game of hockey.
