Close to 100 people turned out to the Links of Kent for the 11th annual Mayor’s Golf Classic yesterday, raising money to help support local kids’ activities.
“We have movies in the park, when we have the Play Rangers out doing their stuff with all of their equipment,” Mayor Randy Hope says. “A lot of the money that is raised goes to make sure we have equipment and ability for kids to have a great time and play.”
Last year’s tournament brought in over $25,000.
Officials are still tallying the final numbers from this year’s event.
