A St. Thomas man will have to answer to a judge after getting pulled over on Highway 401 in Dutton-Dunwich.
The Ontario Provincial Police said officers received a report from a Good Samaritan about a suspected impaired driver on the highway on Sunday. Police located and stopped the vehicle west of Currie Road at around 9 p.m.
While speaking to the driver, authorities said the driver showed signs of impairment. The driver was subjected to a breathalyzer test which registered a fail.
As a result, the driver was arrested and taken for further testing.
The 50-year-old accused is now charged with driving with a blood alcohol level over the legal limit. He is scheduled to appear in court on January 10.
