The Chatham Goodfellows campaign has wrapped for the year.

For the most part.

Spokesperson Tim Mifflin says they delivered 1400 baskets of food, but that number could rise.

“It’s actually down 20 from last year, but our 20th box (last year) was delivered on Christmas Eve,” Mifflin explains. “As we’ve said many times before, we never say no. So if someone has a fire or break and enter and everything’s destroyed, we always step up to help those folks.”

Mifflin says this was the 64th year for the campaign, and each is as fulfilling as the one before.

Meantime, the Goodfellows are saying thanks to Union Gas employees, who donated $26,500 to this year’s campaign.

Over the years Union Gas employee have worked tirelessly providing thousands of hours of sweat equity, and over $600,000 in toys, food and cash to Chatham Goodfellows  “No Child Without a Christmas.”
