The cost of living may have gone up, but so has the generosity of local residents.
Chatham Goodfellows volunteers fanned out across the Maple City Monday night, collecting donations for the annual No Child Without a Christmas campaign.
The total amount raised in this year’s Porchlight fundraiser is $59,789, $10,000 over last year’s record.
Goodfellows officials say they’re humbled by the support of local residents.
Next up is the Street Sales portion of the campaign, taking place December 9th and 10th, which raised $215,000 last year.
