The Chatham Goodfellows are kicking this year’s No Child Without a Christmas campaign into overdrive.
Packing has begun for toy baskets to be handed out to families in need this Christmas.
Director Tim Mifflin says they’ve collected almost 7000 individual toys this year.
“We will provide for 11-1200 kids, and we try to put four or five toys in each,” Mifflin says. “In addition to that we always keep extras because sadly we will have folks that have a crisis before Christmas, and we always provide for them.”
Toy packing will continue for the next few days, with the Street Sales portion of the campaign coming up on Friday and Saturday.
The toy packages will be delivered to families in need on December 20th, with food baskets going out the following day.
