Road work will be one of the hot topics at tonight’s Chatham-Kent council meeting.

Officials will review a proposed contract for the rehabilitation of Grand Avenue East between Taylor and Communication Road in Chatham at a cost of over $6.5 million.

The municipality has already been given the green light for $3-million provincial funding for the work through the Connecting Links program.

Should the tender be approved, construction is slated to begin this fall and be done by November, 2022.
