A grant program aimed at promoting health, community engagement, and well-being for senior citizens in Ontario is back for another year.

Applications are now open for the Ontario Seniors Community Grant Program, which provides funding to support local, not-for-profit community groups and organizations that deliver programs and learning opportunities for Ontarians 55 years and older.

The Ontario government said the grants are aimed at helping seniors to live independently, ensure their safety and security, and help them avoid isolation.

Last year, over 280 Seniors Community Grants were provided, totalling around $6 million. Each grant ranges from $1,000 to $25,000.

Applications for 2024-25 will be accepted until March 28. For more information on how to apply, click here.
