A Chatham woman is awake and recovering at a London Hospital after an industrial accident almost two weeks ago.
Natasha Smids was critically injured at Truly Green Farms on January 6th.
The 20-year-old was placed in a medically-induced coma while she healed from injuries that placed her in critical condition.
The greenhouse operator has been under investigation ever since, and the Ministry of Labour has set six orders against the company.
Meantime, an online fundraiser launched by Smids’ extended family has now ended with $26,580 raised to support the woman’s recovery.
