Local residents are being asked to help recognize those with a green thumb who have helped to make Chatham-Kent a beautiful place to live.

Through the Growing Together initiative, residents can nominate a property or garden from now until July 13. The submissions will then be reviewed by local beautification and horticultural committees, who will score them based on beauty and innovation.

The theme for this year’s contest is “orange.”

The best gardens or properties chosen will be rewarded with a gift certificate to The Glasshouse Nursery and Garden Centre. They will also receiveĀ a yard sign celebrating their property.
