After 27 years in the fundraising business, Michelle Grzebien-Huckson is calling it a career.

Grzebien-Huckson has served as the executive director of the Foundation of Chatham-Kent Health alliance for the past 18 years, and says one of the highlights has to be the completion of the MRI campaign.

“I was in my office I looked out the window and the roof was off  the hospital over the MRI there was a huge crane lowering this huge piece of equipment down, and I just felt so proud and thankful to the communitythat we raised the money,” says Grzebien-Huckson.  “To see things like that.  For me it’s been a great ride.

Grzebien-Huckson says she’s excited to pass on the torch to the next generation. Director of Development Fannie Vavoulis will be taking on the role of interim executive director as of November first.
