The Chatham-Kent Police Service is holding a Gun Amnesty this month.
Anyone who wants to voluntarily surrender unwanted or illegally-owned firearms, weapons, accessories, and ammunition can do so without being charged.
Officials say this is a great way to surrender weapons safely and to reduce the number of guns on our streets and in our communities.
However, no amnesty will be offered for people who turn in weapons that have been used in a crime, and no anonymous submissions will be accepted.
You can call 519-436-6653 to arrange for officers to come and safely retrieve the weapons.
