A Chatham woman is being given a fresh start with her family.

Habitat for Humanity broke ground in Chatham this morning for their 6th build, providing a home for Cassadi Pryor and her four nieces and nephews.

Pryor says it gives the kids a sense of stability.

“It’s a place that they can always come to. It’s a home that they can always have, something that they can invest into their future, a place where their dreams can grow and nightmares aren’t allowed,” says Pryor.

Habitat families aren’t required to make a down-payment on their home, there’s no interest paid on the mortgage, and it’s geared to income. The families are also heavily involved in the building process.
