A Chatham woman is facing multiple charges after allegedly making threats while wielding a hammer.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers were called to a Burton Avenue home in Chatham at around 2 a.m. on Tuesday for a disturbance.
Police arrived and learned that a woman had allegedly been banging on the door of the residence while threatening to kill the occupants and smash all the windows.
The woman was bound by conditions not to possess weapons from a previous arrest.
As a result, a 41-year-old Chatham woman was arrested and charged with uttering threats to damage property, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, mischief under $5,000, and failing to comply with a release order. She was held in custody for a bail hearing.
