Habitat head Nancy McDowell says there’s a new location this year for the construction oriented challenge.

” The Downtown Chatham Centre has kindly offered use of their facilities. We’re hoping to have an indoor venue but weather-permitting, it could be out on the patio in front of the Sears store. And so our teams will be busy building, and people can come and watch to see how they do.”

“Teams of two people register for $50. On October 1st, they’ll have a full day of creating a project, and at the end of the day, they’ll be judged and those projects will be auctioned off two weeks later. A portion of the proceeds will go to Big Brothers Big Sisters.

Money raised goes back into the Habitat for Humanity coffers as well as Big Brothers Big Sisters.

Registration closes Sept 12th with the event set for October 1st.
