
Authorities are looking to the public for help in tracking down a suspected thief.
Chatham-Kent Police responded to a report of a break and enter in progress at Home Hardware on Julian Street in Wheatley around 6 o’clock Sunday morning.
Investigators say a masked man forced his way into the store and left in a grey GMC SUV. The accused got away with $1160 in stolen merchandise, and the incident caused roughly $2000 in damage.
