Health Care Protest Heading to Toronto

The demonstration in Toronto to protest the potential privatization of health care in this province is fast approaching.

Shirley Roebuck is the Chair- person of the Wallaceburg-Walpole Island First Nation Health Coalition, and says you can get a free ride to make sure your voice is heard.

“I really want folks in Wallaceburg to come out, sign up to ensure your place on the bus,” Roebuck says.

The bus will depart around 7am on October 23rd to head to Queens Park.

“Please come out and help us keep our public health care system public,” Roebuck explains. “There’s a real danger that our elected officials may try to privatize a lot of health services and close hospitals again.”

Anyone who’d like to take part in the rally can find a sign-up sheet in our lobby at CKXS, 520 James Street in downtown Wallaceburg.
