Health Care Survey Showing Local Concerns

Local residents are weighing in on a comprehensive survey being conducted by the Ontario Medical Association and their wants are clear.

The survey is broken down by municipalities, and so far 162 Chatham-Kent residents have taken part in the on line questionnaire, with one-third naming hospital wait times as their major concern.

26% pointed at improving home and long term care as the top issue with 24 per cent pointing to the need for more doctors in the region.

Respondents say investing in hospitals and clinics should also be looked at.

Over 7500 have taken part across the province so far and the survey is up through Labour Day weekend at  www.betterhealthcare.ca.
