A health advocacy group is getting its ducks in a row ahead of a public vote on the government’s plans to allow private clinics to perform certain surgeries and procedures.

The Ontario Health Coalition has released a list of voting stations for a citizen-led referendum later this month on what it calls the “unprecedented privatization of Ontario’s core public health care services.”

Voting is slated to take place in communities across Ontario May 26 and 27 asking one question: do you want your public hospital to be privatized? Results will be delivered to Queens Park on May 30.

21 voting locations are being set up across Chatham-Kent, including Chatham, Wallaceburg, Thamesville, and Dresden.
