Area residents are being given a chance to have their voice heard when it comes to health care reforms.

Shirley Roebuck, chair of the Wallaceburg and Walpole Island First Nation Health Coalition says a public meeting is being held to talk about progressive hospital reforms.

“We’re hosting these meetings all over the province,” Roebuck says. “Everyone’s information will be tabulated into a report, which will be published later this year or early next year, certainly before the next election, so that all three major parties, and all parties will know exactly what the people want and expect in public health care.”

There are two meetings on the issue being held in Chatham-Kent today, the first at 3 o’clock at Thames Campus Arena in Chatham.

The second session takes place in Wallaceburg starting at 6 o’clock at the Legion.
