Health Unit Issues Warning About Unlicensed Tattoo Artist

Health officials are issuing a warning about an unlicensed tattoo artist in the Bothwell area.

Chatham-Kent Public Health said it has been made aware of an uninspected and unlicensed tattoo artist who has been providing tattooing services for the last six months in or near Bothwell.

Anyone who has received a tattoo from this artist is potentially at risk of contracting a bloodborne infection including HIV, Hepatitis B, and Hepatitis C.

Those impacted are encouraged to contact CK Public Health at 519-355-1071 ext. 2902 or their primary health care provider as soon as possible. Testing and/or treatment may be recommended.
