The local health unit is warning the public about an uninspected and unlicensed tattoo provider in Wallaceburg.

Chatham-Kent Public Health said the tattoo provider located at 592 Wallace Street East has not been practicing adequate disinfection practices on equipment.

Health officials warn that insufficient infection control procedures during tattoo services increase the risk of transmitting blood-borne infections, such as HIV or Hepatitis, as well as skin infections.

Anyone who received tattoo services at this residential property between January 1, 2026 and June 29, 2026, is being advised to contact their health care provider to arrange a clinical assessment. Those without a health care provider should visit a walk-in clinic for evaluation.
