Heat Warning Continues

As the hot, humid weather continues blanketing southwestern Ontario, a heat warning remains in effect.  heat-warning-300x225

The Chatham-Kent Public Health Unit is advising residents to do what they can to stay cool.

Temperatures today will reach the low thirties with humidex values near forty.

Watch for the effects of heat illness: swelling, rash, cramps, fainting, heat exhaustion, heat stroke and the worsening of some health conditions.

Most at risk for heat-related illnesses are young children and infants, the elderly, and those with chronic conditions.

And remember to never leave people or pets inside a parked vehicle, regardless of whether the windows are partially open.
