It’s going to be a toasty few days in Chatham-Kent.

Environment Canada has a heat warning in effect with temperatures over the next few days expected in the high 20s to low 30s and humidex levels in the high 30s to low 40s with little relief from the heat overnight.

Officials with the weather agency say the hot weather will last into Wednesday or possibly Thursday in some areas, and could result in deteriorating air quality.

Residents are urged to drink plenty of water even before you feel thirsty and stay in a cool place as much as possible.
