A North York man won’t be getting behind the wheel anytime soon after he was allegedly caught speeding between Tilbury and Wheatley.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers were on patrol along Wheatley Road when they clocked a vehicle travelling 135 km/h in a posted 80 km/h zone shortly before midnight on Thursday.
The officers conducted a traffic stop and arrested the driver.
A 46-year-old from North York is now charged with stunt driving. He was also issued a 30-day driver’s licence suspension, and his vehicle will be impounded for 14 days.
