The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers were called to a residence on Wallace Street at around 2 a.m. on Saturday after receiving reports of a man threatening others with a weapon.

When police arrived, the man barricaded himself inside the home. Officers secured the area, and the CK police Emergency Response Team was called in to conduct negotiations with the suspect. CK police officials have notified the Special Investigations Unit (SIU), which is now looking into the incident.

The Chatham-Kent Police Service said it will not be providing further information or comments on the issue.
