Though the year has just begun, local high schools are looking ahead to the fall, with a series of open houses for Grade 8 students. 
All secondary schools in the Lambton-Kent District School Board will be opening their doors over the next month to give parents and prospective students more information about high school.
It all starts tonight at Ridgetown District High School at 6 o clock, followed by Lambton-Kent Composite School in Dresden and Wallaceburg District Secondary School tomorrow evening.
