Trick or treaters will be looking for more than just candy this Halloween.
Schools across the municipality are taking part in the We Scare Hunger program, collecting non-perishable items for local food banks.
Morgan from UCC says they’re hoping local residents dig deep to support the cause.
“We’re hoping to fill 15 trucks which is around 15,000 pounds of non-perishable food items”
Last year’s We Scare Hunger campaign brought in more than 13-thousand cans of food.
Students will be trick-or-treating for donations on Halloween night.
