High school teachers across the province are planning a one-day full-fledged strike next week.

The Ontario Secondary School Teachers’ Federation says it has given mandatory notice to the province that its members intend to walk off the job next Wednesday.

The Lambton-Kent District School Board says in the event of a strike, senior administration, principals and vice principals will work together with staff to maintain caring, safe and positive school environments for students.

While teachers’ union says the crux of the dispute is over class sizes and reduction of support staff, the government maintains it really all comes down to money.
