The provincial government is moving forward with plans for a high speed rail between Toronto and Windsor.

The Ontario government has issued a Request for Bids for the development of an environmental assessment for the Kitchener-Waterloo to London portion of the high-speed rail.

The environmental assessment will look at how the project could affect the environment, where tracks are placed, how much energy they’ll used, and parking needs.

According to the province, the high-speed rail system will serve more than 7 million people, with stops planned for Chatham, Windsor, London, Kitchener-Waterloo, Guelph, and Toronto, with a stop at Pearson airport as well.
