Chatham-Kent residents begin the clean up this morning following yesterday’s strong winds.
Emergency crews were called to dozens of instances of downed powerlines and Entegrus and Hydro One crews had their hands full with many minor outages.
According to Hydro One, some homes in Wallaceburg, Dresden and Chatham can expect to have the lights back on shortly after 8 o’clock this morning, while others in Ridgetown, Blenheim, and Tilbury may not have power restored until this evening.

Multiple buildings were damaged and trees were downed across the municipality.
Students at St Vincent Catholic School in Chatham will have the day off after the building’s roof was damaged.
