The Wallaceburg Lady Tartans continue to roll along at the OFSAA ‘AA’ girls basketball championship.
The third ranked Tartans managed a 43-38 defeat of the La Salle Black Knights in the quarter final and will take on Oakville King’s Christian today.
Coach Janine Day says it’s going to be a good game.
“They are a private school team an all girls school, they have two outstanding players and then it kinda drops off in depth,” says Day. “It should be interesting if we can contain and control those two players.”
Elsewhere, the Chatham-Kent Golden Hawks rallied for a big win over the Markham Pierre Trudeau in the consolation quarter-finals at the OFSAA ‘AAA’ boys volleyball championship and will face Uxbridge. The Pain Court Patriotes beat Cannington Brock 42-27 in a OFSAA ‘A’ girls basketball championship consolation quarter-final and will face Penetanguishene in the semifinals.
They’ll face No. 6 Uxbridge in a consolation semifinal this morning.
