Charges have been laid against a Wallaceburg woman in connection to a high speed chase down Highway 40.
Authorities initially got a call last night about a suspicious vehicle in the Wallaceburg area – the vehicle was spotted heading south on Hwy 40 just outside of town.
When the officer tried to pull over the driver, the vehicle sped off, almost hitting the cruiser and several northbound vehicles.
Police deployed a tire deflation device, but the vehicle carried on, driving on rims.
Four cruisers were damaged as the vehicle was eventually stopped just before Pioneer Line.
No one was hurt, and the 31-year-old driver is now charged with flight form police and dangerous driving. She’s also facing charges in connection to outstanding warrants for flight from police, driving while suspended, and careless driving, among other things.
