The first annual Hike For Hospice went off without a hitch on Sunday.
More than 350 people spent some time on Mud Creek Trail April 23rd, raising money for the Chatham-Kent Hospice.
By the end of the day, walkers had raised $58,500.
Add to that another $7,500 thanks to those who test drove a Lincoln as part of a Ford Drive Event.
That brings the event’s total to $66,000 – more than double organizers’ original goal of $25,000.
Over the past 12 months, Chatham-Kent Hospice has cared for over 220 residents and their families.
